Ultrasonic Homogenization Station

The ultrasonic homogenization station is a machine tool that allows homogenization between a powder and a liquid inside a 4 ml glass bottle. The homogenization is carried out by means of an ultrasonic probe immersed in the liquid.

The position of the probe is managed with an electric axis controlled by an automaton in order to ensure positioning according to a defined displacement profile (generation of the profile according to the position and speed data). The whole station is composed of a stainless steel structure and glass panels in order to secure access to the moving parts. The operator side is protected by a light curtain.

The machine is fully configurable by a touch-sensitive HMI.

Technical specifications of the ultrasonic homogenization station:

  • Stepper motor with incremental encoder
  • SIEMENS S7-1200 PLC
  • Light curtains
  • 4.3” PROFACE IHM
  • Ultrasonic generator
  • Ultrasound probe
  • 4ml vials

An ultrasonic dispersion machine is used to assure a homogenous dispersion of powder in liquid.
