Diagnostic Strip Filling Line

This custom-made automatic diagnostic strip filling line machine tool is an automatic filling line is used to allocate, assemble and package strips filled with diagnostic fluid for the detection of food-borne pathogens. MGA Technologies and ATG Technologies have upgraded the versions of this filling line in order to make it even more efficient.

The strips are distributed and conveyed in reference on a belt with multiple positions. Their imprints are filled with test liquid through a station of 16 volumetric pumps.

Their fingerprints are filled with test liquid via a station of 16 positive displacement pumps. An aluminum film is unwound over the strips and thermo-sealed to isolate the liquid in their wells. Different ID labels are printed and affixed to the aluminum foil.

A cutting operation makes it possible to split the strips. At the end of the line, a poly-articulated robot retrieves the strips individually to package them in thermoformed plates distributed and made available automatically. Part of the line is integrated under a laminar flow to classify the area. The equipment can produce up to 5300 strips / hour.
