Automatic Plastic Housing Assembly Robots

The project consisted of an automatic plastic housing assembly robots for pre-assembly of control plastic housings by a robot cell. The project involved coupling of 2 robots with automatic stations indexed on a flat top conveyor.
The plastic housings are made of 10 sequentially assembled components. Several operations are performed such as press fitting, clipping, vibrating bowl cap distribution, screwing, airtightness control and time/date marking.
This installation can produce different references and batches in a safe way thanks to POKA YOKE systems. The solution was designed using FMECA and SMED methods.
