Industry of the future and the “Global Industrie” exhibition in Lyon (France)

Brief Eco, the provider of weekly economic news of companies and local authorities in the Auvergne – Rhône-Alpes region in France, presents the first edition of the Global Industry exhibition that will take place in the Lyon Eurexpo exhibition center from Tuesday 5th to Friday 8th March 2019.

The show is a major event for French and international industries. It plans to bring together 2,500 exhibitors and brands and expects more than 45,000 visitors.

On the 6th and 7th of February, the Auvergne – Rhône-Alpes region is organizing conferences and international business meetings around the industry of the future with testimonials from dozens of companies, SMEs and ETI such as Volvo Trucks, Thalès Avionics, Siemens, Staübli, Hexcel and more.

During an interview with Bref Eco, the director of MGA Technologies, Hervé de Malliard gave the following statement introducing the industry 4.0: “The industry has experienced the steam engine, electricity, then the automation revolution … What changes today with the industry of the future is that in addition to modern technological needs, there is also a software dimension that brings intelligence to machines which gives them the ability to learn, improve themselves and communicate with each other.” He added, “Our customers that were earliest to become automated are the ones who are doing the best.”
